ANTHONY
SMITH
Every once in a while a voice comes along that makes you think...touches
your soul.... makes you remember... helps you forget and finally...
makes you wanna stand up, raise your hands and just ROCK.
Rarely does an artist come along who possesses the ability
and originality to make us feel all those things... meet Anthony
Smith. One of the most respected songwriters on the planet.
Raised in the small town of Oneida, TN, Anthony grew up listening
to his Mama's original gospel songs along with his Daddy's
record collection of country music legends. Already knowing
harmony practically from birth he began playing guitar at
age five after picking up his father’s powder blue Fender
Mustang, "it was like the guitar put me in a trance,
from that moment on I knew I had only one destiny... music".
Anthony eventually discovered rock and roll and at age ten
was considered a child prodigy. He became the church band
leader at thirteen instructing musicians three times his age.
There were many bands and many shows to follow through the
years. Although well known for his musicianship, it was his
skill as a performer and songwriter that would land him a
major record deal in Nashville. Performing concerts often
described as the most intensely entertaining ninety minutes
in country music... period.
Look
for Anthony’s much anticipated debut single from Stroudavarious
Records this fall.
