 Courtyard Performances

Bear Redell

Bear Redell is 14 and a Freshman at Santa Ynez High School.  He loves playing the piano, guitar, singing and writing songs.  He has been performing since he was 5 for family and friends. At age 13, as his passion for music and performing grew, he entered local talent contests.  Bear won first prize at Valley’s got Talent in February 2011 and then in April 2011 was honored with the title of  “Santa Barbara Teen Star”.  Following Teen Star he has had the privilege of performing at The Lobero Theater, De La Guerra Plaza Fiesta stage, and got the rare opportunity to practice in a private session with Kenny Loggins.   Performing in the Courtyard for  Nashville Nights with his sister Brooke & his friends Morgan Laughlin and Luca Facinelli is a huge honor for Bear.   He is looking forward to listening to the accomplished songwriters on the main stage later in the evening.

When he isn’t singing Bear spends his time practicing with the Frosh/JV pirate football team as Quarterback, doing his homework and hanging out with his friends and family. Bear lives in Solvang California with his parents, Melissa and Billy, his sister Brooke (13), and Brother Ben (9) and dogs Butch and Sundance

Brooke Redell

Brooke Redell began singing with her brother Bear at their school talent shows in Kindergarten when they did the classic sibling duet “Little Bit Country, Little Bit Rock and Roll”.  She has always enjoyed singing, but took a break from music for a while to focus on dance, school sports, and NCL. Brooke is 13 and attends Los Olivos Junior High School as an 8th grader. She has just started guitar lessons and singing again and will be performing a duet with her brother Bear in the courtyard of Nashville Nights.  Brooke loves spending time with friends and her family.
